Gorgeous 14k gold, platinum, amethyst and diamond ring made by F&F Felger Inc., a Newark, New Jersey jewelry house. Founded in 1911, F&F Felger used the finest materials and most famously created pieces for Tiffany and Cartier. This ring is a testament to their fine materials and craftsmanship. The amethyst in this piece is of a very fine, deep color with appropriate inclusions indicating that it is indeed a natural amethyst; the 14k gold setting is substantial and ornate; and the two old cut diamonds have a good sparkle and are set in platinum. The ring has wear (surface wear, patina) commensurate with age. We estimate this ring to be circa 1920’s-1930’s.
The face of the ring measures 20 mm long by 20 mm wide. The ring weighs 9.7 grams.
