Beautiful Victorian era 14k gold and rubellite (aka red tourmaline) ring. The tourmaline is a deep, juicy red which is nicely set off by the slightly rose shade of the 14 karat gold. The ring weighs 2.06 grams and its face/the rubellite measures approximately 8. mm wide by 10.7 mm long.
The ring is in good, sturdy condition with wear throughout. There is evidence of re-sizing and, based on our electronic testing, it appears to have been re-sized with 10k gold which is reflected in the price.
Overall, a beautiful antique ring for a very good price.
Electronic tested as 14k except as noted above, gem was Presidium tested.
U.S. size 5.5.
