Rosenthal bee pins are absolutely wonderful and we are overjoyed to have this particularly lovely example on offer. Herbert Rosenthal made his exquisite jeweled bees throughout the 60s and 70s. Often imitated, you can tell a Rosenthal bee by its superb quality and the telltale “HR” hallmark, usually on the underside of the bee’s wing. This particular example features 15 brilliant and eye-clean sapphires with an average diameter of 1.25 mm, a bright, eye clean diamond (est. .03 ct) and two ruby eyes (apprx. 1.4 mm each) all set in 18k gold. The piece is approximately 18mm long with a 20mm wing span. There is a very small bend in the stem pin that does not affect wear at all. The item closes securely with a C-clasp. Overall excellent vintage condition.
Hallmarked: "HR" and 18k.
