Walter Lampl opened his New York based jewelry company in 1921 at the age of 26. Taking pride in their wide-ranging, eclectic and often whimsical designs, Walter Lampl's slogan was "Creators of the Unusual, As Usual." Among their most beloved and endearing designs are Walter Lampl's charms. Most often fashioned in 14k gold, these charms were highly detailed, featuring moving parts such as slot machines with moving arms and slots or traffic stops with signs that could turn from "stop" to "go."

Walter Lampl passed away at the age of 50.
